Wild Blue Iris Seeds

$6.00

Wild Blue Iris is a hardy perennial that grows 1-2 ft. tall. Flowers resemble the common garden iris, with a pretty pale blue color. Flowers typically appear in May or June, depending on the elevation. These look lovely in natural gardens, or along water features.

Seeds have high dormancy, and should be planted in the fall - or you can place seeds in the refrigerator for 30 days prior to planting in the spring (which will urge them out of dormancy). Plants prefer full/part sun and fairly moist conditions, being found naturally in moist meadows and along stream banks from low valleys to 9,000 ft. elevation in the western U.S.
