Dill seeds – 1 packet containing 2 g. of dill seeds. Particularly good for pickling because of early and abundant seed production, Bouquet foliage is also delicious sprinkled on potatoes, tomatoes, salmon, spinach, cucumbers and meats. 30″-36″ tall, and very aromatic. Two varieties to choose from:

‘Bouquet’ – 3 ft. tall plant with a strongly scented foliage, stems, and seed heads. Excellent flavor for seasoning a variety of dishes.

‘Mammoth’ – approx. 2.5 ft. tall, extremely fast growing, with large flower heads. Good choice for pickling.

2 g. seed packet

Name: Dill

Botanical Name: Anethum graveolens

Life Cycle: Annual

Light Requirement: Full Sun

Height: 30-42″

Growing Instructions: 1 to 2 weeks before average last frost. Successive sowings every 2 to 3 weeks until hot weather will assure a continual fresh supply of foliage and seeds. Requires light to germinate; press lightly into soil surface and keep moist.

Harvesting: Fresh foliage can be harvested any time until plant flowers. Cut leaves as close to stem as possible. Seeds should be harvested 2-3 weeks after flowering begins, after the flower heads have turned brown. Cut flower heads with stem and place in paper bag before seed becomes too mature and falls to the ground. Heads should be placed in bottom of bag and the top of the bag should be tied shut around the stems. Seeds will fall to the bottom of the bag. Store seeds in airtight glass herb jar.

Seeds come in paper packet with planting information included.

Dill seeds can be planted directly in the ground approx. 1-2 weeks before the average last frost in your area, and will mature in 50-60 days from planting. A pretty carefree herb!
